Harley-Davidson® Milwaukee-Eight™ Engine
The Milwaukee-Eight™ is the brand new engine for the 2017 model year touring motorcycles! This outstanding motor has been developed from scratch to create the best engine Harley-Davidson® has ever put in a touring bike! The Milwaukee-Eight™ utilizes a four valve per head design (hence the eight) combined with lightweight construction to create an engine that delivers better fuel economy, improved heat management, lower emissions, and more power than ever before! In a head to head matchup with previous touring motorcycles, a Milwaukee-Eight™ equipped bike has an acceleration advantage from through the full RPM range, with a distinct edge in zero-to-sixty mph trials, as well as a visible improvement in sixty-to-eighty mph comparisons. Harley-Davidson® New Touring Suspension
The Milwaukee-Eight™ is only one of the upgrades that the touring family received this year! The new 2017 touring bikes from Harley-Davidson® have also been equipped with an improved suspension system to provide the responsive, smooth ride that you deserve. The first step was to beef up the size of the pistons to create an even dampening response through the full length of the suspension travel after that Harley-Davidson® added on a Showa® Dual Bending Valve front fork to provide 117 mm of travel on standard bikes (98 mm on lowered bikes). Finally, Harley® made a big improvement by adding standard tool free pre-load adjustment, so by just twisting a knob, you can set your suspension for a passenger.
Harley-Davidson® Screamin’ Eagle® Performance upgrades
If touring motorcycles aren’t your thing, don’t sweat it, Harley-Davidson® hasn’t forgotten you. This year Harley-Davidson® has revamped the Screamin’ Eagle® Performance upgrade kits, making these high-end parts available immediately for the 2017 model year bikes.
