Rolls Like a Freight Train
The all-new Road King Special delivers an amount of power people aren’t used to seeing in a motorcycle. With its hulking profile and trademark Harley-Davidson rumble, it’s more like a freight train barreling down the tracks. The totally redesigned Milwaukee-Eight engine has 107 cubic inches of cylinder displacement and yields more than 10% more power than its predecessors. The engine also has a new exhaust and new engine heads with eight-valve technology to maximize power and fuel efficiency.
Putting the reins on all that power is a 6-Speed Cruise Drive® Transmission that allows for quick, easy shifts every time. To give the best handling possible, the bike also has an advanced suspension system with Showa® Dual Bending valve technology. Up front, a beefy front fork puts control on the front wheel at all times. In the back, a fully-adjustable rear emulsion shock allows the rider to choose the tension of the suspension without tools. For brakes, the Road King Special relies on Reflex™ linked Brembo® brakes for maximum stopping power.
Hard-Rolling Style
The Road King Special is nothing if not tough. This bike is full of “back off” vibes, thanks to its sinister blacked-out components and formidable exhaust. Just about everything gets the black treatment, from the exhaust to the engine and transmission, to the glossy black turbine wheels. The designers also used color-matched, wrapped fenders and saddlebags to give a front-to-back continuity for the four awesome paint colors. You can choose from Charcoal Denim, Vivid Black, Olive Gold, and Hot Rod Red Flake Hard Candy Custom. In front, a 7-inch Daymaker Projector LED headlight puts out 986 lumens of bright, white light to illuminate the path ahead.
